On September 11, 1986 Isha experienced the childhood trauma of the kidnapping death and murder of her mother and oldest sister on September 11, 1986. For twenty-one years her family did not know what happened on that fateful day until the assailant confessed while in prison. This event along with many other life traumas left her with feelings of uncertainty and lack of trust. The impact of these experiences were far reaching eventually leading to her to come to give her life to Christ at age 18 in search of her true identity.
At age 34, Isha began her journey of self-discovery through her relationship with the Lord and a wonderful picture began to emerge in “ISHA - I Am Woman” which aims to:
*ENLIGHTEN the WoMan to her true potential as an agent of change for herself first then the world in which she has influence.
*EMPOWER the WoMan as she discovers her purpose;
*EQUIP the WoMan with resources for emotional and behavioral health focusing on the effect of childhood abuse, neglect and trauma on adult behavior.
